  • Hi, my name is Pia Bianca C. Bordadora and I’m from Philippines. Learning how to sketch is important for me, for it’s not only a hobby, it’s also my passion and it gives me emotional power in which I can freely express myself through sketching and making me feel comfortable ^_^

  • Hi, I’m My from Vietnam. I accidentally knew about this website. I’m younger than most of you(because I’m only 17) and I want to become an “mangaka” (I really like mangas and Japanese). My drawings have been improving better nowadays than 4 years ago, but I always feel that I don’t do well enough. Some of your videos pointed out what mistakes I’d made and I appreciated those a lot.
Fortunately, my relatives support my dream. My mother worries about my decision but I still want to do it(It’s very risky and I won’t give up, I have to make it become reality)

  • Hi, my name is Lucy, I am from Mexico and I am currently studying the degree in Design and visual communication.
I believe that I must strengthen my skills, not only with technological means, but also with manual techniques. It is important for me to create works of quality but with a lot of creative load and with a unique stamp, that speaks of yourself as a designer and as a communicator of ideas.

  • Hi, I’m Silver from Poland. I used to draw since I was a little kid – and was even semi-decent at it in my late teens and early twenties – but I went into depression, lost faith in myself and stopped drawing. Now that I’m approaching thirties, I would like to re-learn how to draw, and I’m searching for sources of motivation – unfortunately, I’m still struggling with depression, so being motivated doesn’t come easy for me.

This site and the e-book look great – I appreciate them a lot. 🙂

  • Hi,

I am very much afraid of drawing. I like sketching but i get bored after one drawing only. I want to fall in love with it, where i don’t stop sketching everything which comes in front of me. What shall i do. how to get rid of this feeling. People say practice will improve your sketching but I even get bore of sketching practice. What shall i do to excite myself with sketching.

    Thank you,
    Regards,
    Hima

  • Hello, my name is Jay. I’m a third year architecture student and I wish to improve my sketching as I feel that I’m very bad at it. I’ve often seen that if a person is good at sketching, he/she is able to generate ideas more quickly and develop then fast too. That is the part where I get stuck. For example, if I’ve been given a design brief, I have a few initial ideas but I’m unable to share it with my professors ( either they misunderstand it or not get it completely and think its absurd). And the whole process is a haywire.
It is time I need something like this, because I don’t want to remain ‘an ordinary designer’.
I’m glad I came across this.

    • Hello Jay,

To get started at generating ideas faster, you will need work on 2 things in parrallel.
First will be your basics of sketching such as perspective.
Second is your ability to draw many thumbnails, quick ideas with doodles. It’s some pictures that show the essence of your ideas without going into the details.

Even though at start it may be clumsy, you gotta keep going and continue to show your sketches.
So you can improve, and find tune into your visual communication.
It’s ok if they misunderstand you now. You are still studying. It’s the perfect time to show your mistakes.

Tomorrow you will do great. 😉

  • Awesom this is very helpfull for my and my students. I recomend them the page to support clases.
    Thank you!
