    keep on keeping on.

  • Hello Tac, my Name is Noah Ibrahim, i am an aspiring shoe designer, i practically dont know how to draw anything, even tho i have a design perspective in me, which cobblers around me fail to see when i pitch designs to them. Please i want you to take a deep a interest in me, i know that i really need your help to getter better. thank you.

    • Keep going Noah, one time in a while, let me know how things going :).

TIP: Whenever you have difficulty to express your ideas, find alternative ways. You could take pictures of the shoes or last, then draw on top of them. It’s very easy with your Ipad for example.

      Cheers,
      Chou-Tac

  • Hello Chou-Tac,
I wanted to thank you for the starter kit on sketching, just those simple exercises really helped with getting back into drawing. I left art school 2years ago, remarried and working full-time, I lost most of my skills, but these tips really do propel my enthusiasm once again for the love of drawing and why I went to art school. If you have anyone more videos and tips, please keep informed, thanks again.

  • Hey!I’m Cristina, from Spain, and I study Computer Engeneering. My mother and I both found your guides very helpful and we would be very interested if you made more in the future. We also liked your videos very much, but some are very complicathed while others are more basic. We would appreciate it if you made more setp-by-step guides to get to the higher levels of Design.

    • Hello Cristina,

That’s cool that you learn in family.
Well noted about more guides ! I was actually thinking about it today. But for now I am more focused on giving the online design sketching courses to my class.

In case its something that interest you, let me know and I could tell you more about it. (Even though the registration of the next session is not opened yet)

      Have a nice day !
      Cheers,
      Chou-Tac

  • Hi Chou-Tac,

  • Hi mentor!

I am a 24 years old mechanical engineer who has not been taught how to free-hand draw during her degree. I am really glad that I found your page and tutorials since with your help I will learn how to graphically comunicate and will be able to share my ideas with the other members of my team. I am very thankfull that you share your knowledge with us and that you will help me express this.

    All the best Chou-Tac,
    B

  • Hello Chou-Tac!
I’m Nicolás, a 20 year-old Industrial Design student from Argentina. I love to sketch everyday, and i know how important it is in order to communicate your ideas. I found your guide quite interesting and easy to understand! I feel I’m getting better at this everyday. Now I can share my drawings with more confidence. Thank you very much for sharing your tips! 😀

Oh, I almost forgot! Do you have a Spanish version of the guide?

  • Hello Chou-Tac,

I’m a spanish engineer (with a masters degree in mechanical engineering), and although I am accomplished in CAD and all things related to manufacturing and stress testing I always lacked the ability to turn my prototype ideas into sketches that would inspire and transmit what was in my head.

I poured every ounce of energy into my technical abilities so…art was never nurtured nor cared for…But I believe that with your guidance and my stubborness I can some day create decent prototype sketches, or at least sketches that inspire something more than laughter to those looking at them =/

Thanks a lot for sharing all this.

    • Hello Alvaro,

Laughter are not an issue. To avoid people laugh at any of your sketches whatever level it is, convince them through your idea and story. People who worth hear your ideas will listen to you, other people who won’t are not worth the effort. Carry on learning and improving, you will do great. 🙂

  • Hey, I’m from Colombia,
Currently I’m on the University, majoring on Industrial Design. On my Every day life, i need to sketch a lot of projects, so i hope this could help me to improve my sketches.
and Btw, Thank you a lot!

    Have a nice week

  • Hiya, my name is Ruth and I’m from London.
I currently work in retail in customer services but would love to work in the art industry as an illustrator. I’m starting quite late in life (in my thirties), so I’m trying to learn all the basic fundamentals (or at the very least get a good grasp of them) as quickly as possible. I know I have a lot of catching up to do and a long way to go, but the journey should be fun. 🙂

    • Hello Ruth,

As an Illustrator remember that technique is one thing, but most important people will enjoy your own personality, your style. What story do you to tell to them ? This is what will make you unique and memorable. An illustrator I like a lot is http://www.celiacalle.com/ she has done illustration for Fashion magazine and also Marvel comics cover keeping her own style !

There is multiple path to become an Illustrator, but that path is to me the one which is the most fun. See what you like :).

      Cheers,
      Chou-Tac

  • Hi! My name is Alexandra and i’m from Romania. I’m 18 and still uncertain about my future. For many years I was impressed by the skills manga makers have and i’m also interested in design. I tried to develop my skills years ago but gave up as there was no one to teach me. I’m happy that I found this now. Let’s get started!^^

    • Yeah, enjoy Alexandra ! : D

I also starter with animation and Manga when I was teenagers. I think I gave up also many times, but we are passionate so we also come back to drawing !

  • Hi!! My name is Lerisha and I am from Maryland but I just moved to the West Coast in Arizona. I am currently studying Animation and Game Art Design!! =D I am looking to sharpen my drawing skills and master learning how to animate and create Game Art designs.

  • Hey there I’m Gregory or Greg Hutnik. I am 17 and at DASH (Design and Architecture Senior High) pursuing my dream of being an industrial designer. I have been at this school for 3 years now and I am hoping I can learn a few new techniques from this. Hoping to get a physical copy of the book. Design district (Miami Florida) is a good place for this you get to see new things passing you buy and you get inspired so I sketch what I think; most of the time. It’s great I found this and excited to get something out of it
