    • Hello Mike, if you don’t want to draw flat anymore, you got to decompose your products in simple volumes first. The designer Starter kit is a very good start for drawing cubes in perspective for example. 🙂

    • Bienvenue a toi Laurent!

  • Hi!
I am Aarti and I am from India. I am about to begin my 4th year in college and its time to start applying for my degree project. I want to be excellent at conveying my ideas to people and as a Product Designer, Sketching is the best medium to do so. That is why it is very important for me to develop my sketching skills.
Thank you for starting this blog and sharing your knowledge with us :).
I look forward to learning from the daily guides 🙂

  • Hey!

I am Aniruddha from India. I am a product design student. Sketching is the basic and the most important tool for all designers. It is very important that we are good at it otherwise we won’t be able to ideate our concepts. Even knowing this we tend to not practice sketching regularly. So now I want to make it a practice so that by the time I hit the industry I got it in the back of my hand 😉

    • Learning during student time is the best period. So you can catch great internship to better prepare your career when you are graduated. 🙂

  • Hello I’m from Hong Kong and am currently a part-time student of interior design(work on day time, study on night time)
Sketching is very important to me because it can visualize my idea, it is more like you are going to make a solid foundation when you build a house.
I wish i could learn the technique from the book, and use this skill to spread out my whole idea in my brain, and most important thing: share the happiest of design to everyone:)

  • Hi
Just signed up to your sketch guide and have 4-6 months to get my sketching up to scratch. My CAD work far exceeds what I can sketch, mainly cause I can visualise it in my head and find it easier CAD it. However I need to develop my sketching skills. Other then your guide, what else is there to do. I want to set up a schedule for day to day sketch work. What do you suggest.
Uni for me starts in Jan.
    Thanks
    Josh
