I am a novice Industrial Designer from Mumbai, India. I recently finished my bachelors in Product Design but unfortunately I wasn’t taught how to do design sketching at school.
Lack of proper guidance in design sketching has made me face a lot of difficulties in communicating my ideas to my manager as well as my clients, and I had to rely a lot on CAD(which is slow).
While I was watching “How to draw Lines” video by Chou Tac, I was able to reflect back very clearly what I was doing wrong, right from Posture, Hand movement vs Arm Movement.
The interesting analogies through which he taught about lines is very insightful and that’s exactly what made me sign up for this Starter Kit so that I can practice in the right way and communicate my ideas BETTER and FAST!! 🙂
Hello Sudhanshu.
Thank you very much for sharing your experience with my video tutorial.
I am glad that what you learn has a direct impact on your work.
Definitely awesome!
Keep going!
Cheers,

I can copy draw but I cannot sketch free handj
Hey Jack,
I know what you mean.
While we can copy very well (which is already a great skill),
we think we can draw. But is actually kind of an illusion when we try to draw from imagination our own ideas.
We all start by copying,
while you will learn the fundamentals of drawing, perspective…
copying others will still remain essential for your progress.
It will allow you to feed your memory of forms
and keep your motivation high.
Keep going and you might soon compete with the artist and designers you admire!
Hello,
I’m in San Francisco, CA, and I saw 16 Tips on how to draw a shoe and wanted to check out the book.
Let me know how it goes 🙂

I want to be able to draw from imagination. I just found you on YouTube because I was researching how to draw spheres, in perspective and I was amazed, at the amount of relevant videos you already have on learning to draw from imagination.
I am glad you learn practical things on my videos.
Drawing from imagination is so much fun!
It allows us to escape from reality creating our own world.
And as a Product designer to actually influence the world we physically live in by bringing value for people.
Thank you for your feedback Hollie!
Cheers,
Chou-Tac
I am from Bangladesh. I want to get better at visual communication, e.g, making graphics, and animated explainers etc. But first step seem s to be to learn to draw. And now I mostly wan t o focus on perspectives. I saw your tutorials on youtube and want to learn more about perspectives from you. I understood the way you explained things. So, I am checking out the courses you have. Thanks.
Hi Tamalika,
I am glad the tutorials are helpful to you.
