  • I got a drawing tablet (The Picasso P2X11). I live in Texas, and I’m a former college professor, but I recently took early retirement at age 62. I’m interested in designing a program to help adults and students of all ages to learn new things (easier and faster by working smarter, not harder). In this age of technology, I will have to redesign my former lectures by sketching them and then posting online. I taught thousands of new students how to study and how to use learning strategies in order to assist them with being successful college students, and to ultimately graduate. I discovered this site, as I was searching for tutorials on how to draw on a tablet and how to sketch! I want to design my own website in order to share my knowledge with others!

    • Ho I see: Picasso P2X11.
Thank you for the discovery. I see it is a screen tablet that is very affordable!

I remember when I started, these was so expensive! I am glad that more people can jump on these amazing digital tools.

  • From Austin, Tx and I’m 64. I am learning to draw for the enjoyment of losing myself in a creative process My drawing skills are advanced beginner and I want to take my skills to the next level with some foundational lessons. Thank you for your awesome website! I discovered it while searching for “how to draw from your imagination and not by copying”. Cheers!

    • Hi Doreen,
You mention “draw for the enjoyment of losing myself in a creative process”.
I recently learn there is a name for that.

It is calling the “flow state”. 🙂

  • Hi! I’m from Portugal. I’m learning how to draw because I’m taking a course about graphic design. Teacher says we just need it to convey ideas but I want to go deeper. I searched Google and I found your blog. It looked so good! I hope to learn a lot from you. Thank you so much!
