  • Hi! My name’s Daisy Lopez from the Philippines. I’ve been drawing since I was very young. Growing up, I’ve fallen in and out of art because of my life responsibilities that needs to be taken care of…. at least I thought I did.
After a 5 years, I’ve picked up my art materials again and started drawing again. So far, I’m using watercolors, pen & ink and pencils as my main medium but I’m open in learning others too.
Sketching is very important to me because it destresses me and makes me happy. Can’t wait for your video this coming Feb. 1!

  • Hello Chou-Tac, greet from Taiwan!
I’m currently being student of Industrial design, and really want to improve the skill of precise and fluent hand drawing. Because even filled with convenient edgy tools we have nowadays, I found that really, the fundamental of design, conveying concept and clearing your own thought is from the physical interaction with your pen and paper.
Thank you so much for the lectures!

  • Hi, I’m from Berlin, Germany! I would like to study industrial design so I will improve my skills and find out if I could do that 😉

    • Hello Bibiana,

      Of course you can !

The secret is stick to your WHY are you doing this. Believe me that with your WHY in my mind you will always keep going and go through the obstacles you meet. 🙂

Passion will bring you all the skills you need toward your goal.

  • I have to increase my sketching speed 😀 I’m an industrial design student at the moment, but also working to pay taxes, so if I go faster I can end earlyer and easyer my studies.

  • I’m Sara from the US, I want to increase the skills I have to increase my sketching speed & accuracy for my profession.

  • Hello Chou-Tac! thank you so much for your effort. I’ve just finiched reading the first guide and I loved it. I must say some tips really shocked me, I had no idea the posture of the body can affect the drawing.
Basically, drawing is the only thing I’m passionate about in my life. but whenever I notice how lacking my drawing is compared to others I get discouraged. If I can’t get any better I’m afraid one day I will give up on drawing once and for all. Once again thank you.

  • Hello everyone.
I’ve been trying to learn how to draw for a few years by now, but I always tend to lose the hold on the subject once I face any kind of considerable challange.

This time, I’ve decided I don’t have much time to waste anymore and I am trying to learn from different sources of information and exercises at the same time. I hope it works out for me :).

    Wishing good luck to y’all.

    • Hello Carlos,

Congrats for starting the new year with determination !
A great way to keep going despite of the big challenges, is to revisualise yourself all the things you can draw when you will get the skills.
I personnally do enjoy buying artbooks from different artist I like. It feeds me in term of content buy also emotionaly. That emotion is what you wanna take care of. That’s the key :). Your inspiration may be from artists, designers, real products, movies, cartoon, fashion show …)

I invite you to have a look at this article about artbooks 🙂 https://www.thedesignsketchbook.com/art-books-are-my-red-bull-my-energy-boost-generator/

All the best ! And keep in touch on your progress ok ? 🙂
      Cheers,
      Chou-Tac
