  • Hi Chou-Tac. I’m Mark from Philippines. Ever since I was a child, I fell in love with arts. Like you, I used to draw different heroes and cartoon characters in my notes. I try to join different art contest when I was a child but sadly, I never won. Because of it, I lost a little bit my interest in art. I still draw but my passion is not that strong just like before. When I reach college, I took a different course. its not related to arts. This is my last year in college. And I’m about to graduate. But suddenly, my passion for arts came back again. Now, I’m joining different contest online and luckily, sometimes I win. Because of it, I can buy art materials. It is my only way in pursuing my passion in arts. I’m not that financially stable. I cant afford that’s why I never attend an art class. I’m self-taught. I love looking to different artworks and I try to figure out how it was made. It is very important for me to learn sketching because it will help me improve my craft. Many people are amazed in my skills but I’m not that confident in myself. I always think that I have only a common skills, not special a one. I want to find my own style. I really love arts. I’m enjoying while making artworks. It fades away all of my problem and worries. And it also bring me to different worlds. A simple artwork can tell various stories. And above all, art is a very great tool to promote change. I want to use technology and art to promote change that our world needs. Of all the challenges our world is facing now, arts can be a powerful tool to influence the mind of the people. I have a lot ideas in my mind. I want to convey it by using art. Because art is unlimited. If I will be given an opportunity, I would really love to enter an art school. I want to learn all that I need to learn. Learning is very fun. Thank you so much for all the tutorials that you made. It inspires us all. God Bless you.

    • Hello Mark,

Yes Art is meaningful, and there is an infinity of ways to use it to help people. I personally think that design is the best medium to do so. Why? Because it gives you the tool to create for making a better world. 🙂

    • Passion is the fuel we gotta take care of. As it will help us go through any obstacles 🙂 The best way is to keep looking for solution and making progress. Tiny, or big, I believe Progress is what makes us happy and proud of our accomplishment.

  • Hey,I am Megha from INDIA. I am a student and i am very much passionate for designing. Hope your starter kit will help me out. Thank you

  • Thanks Chou this is so good. I’ve been getting back to sketching after a long break. I do it purely for relaxation but I’m keen to improve. The use of the ballpoint pen is helpful as I spend too much time erasing!

    • Hello Nnen,

Yeah I agree! Without erasing, and starting any of your sketch with a light pen pressure will be even more relaxing as you will keep your drawing flow going. 🙂

  • Hi my name’s Jenie and I’m from the Philippines. I have always been fond of drawing but my art does not seem to improve or I just don’t know the techniques that would help me better my art.

  • I’m Anson, I was born in Aussie. I like sketching, designing and now I do animating. I like to express my feelings

  • Hello, I’m Rafi Nandi. Usually called Rafi. I’m a student from Indonesia. I’ve learned and practiced a lot about art and graphic design. Mostly self thought. I am looking forward to crave creative and great resources to train my sketching skill. I often make rough, ineligible sketches and find it hard to bust myself out of it. I have dream to become an artist and designer, and I found this website could help and guide me to reach them.
