  • Hi there!

I’m Rachel. I’m from Australia. I’ve decided I want to switch studying paths, and I was told that product sketching would help me with Industrial design! I also like painting and drawing anyway, so i’m really keen to learn more on how to sketch properly! Thank you for having me and for the work that you do!

    • Hello Rachel,

Yes learning how to sketch design sketching will give you so much more fun and creativity. You’ll be also more able to communicate your ideas to your work team, and clients. 🙂

  • Hello!
I’m Max from India, I pursue Designing and especially Design Thinking to channel my intuitions and Innovate.

  • hei, Olivier here from a Belgian village near the Dutch border. I partly trained as an architect and I’m now designing and drafting wood-steel constructions (the more technical part). I’m looking for a way to upgrade my sketching techniques (for professional purposes): showing random construction details in 3d and building designs. I would also like to familiarize myself with digital sketching (graphic pen and tablet) which are very new to me (I still do my sketching on paper …) and scan them 🙁 cheers

    • Hello Olivier,

Yes I agree that sketching will be greatly helpful to create your own construction details. It is the best way to convey your idea, especially when you work in group.

By the way, there is no problem at all to draw on paper and scan them. A tablet is just a tool. And with practice, you will soon know how to use it as well as an extension of your imagination.

  • Hello! I am an architecture student. I am trying to improve my sketching so that i can communicate my design ideas well.

  • Australia

    • Hi! My name’s Anthony. I’m from Indianapolis, IN, USA. I’ve always loved putting pencil to paper. It helped me block out the bullies in highschool. It’s helped me feel closer to my mom, too. Some of my first memories are her with some charcoal Vines and pitch black hands. Drawing has also helped with my anxiety. I’ve always used graphite pencil but for the last few months I’ve started using an ink pen and my goodness, it’s a whole different ballgame.

      • Hello Anthony,

I just come from the gym and while I was running, I thought about how I was also bullied at school because of my name and Chinese origins and how drawing helped me to create my own crew of friends and gain in confidence in myself.

Thank you for sharing your story. Drawing is definitely something that is fully part of our life. Have fun with the ink pen of course without using any rubber : P

        See you!
        Cheers,
        Chou-Tac

  • Hi! I’m Zubayr, from the US, & I’m excited about sketching because it’s a very useful skill. I am more interested in sketching objects & products than I am sketching animal forms; for some strange reason, I’d never even considered the thought that just as people sketch characters for shows, there are also those who work on the designs of electronics, clothing, etc. I’m finally finding ways to learn things I’ve often dreamed about.

  • Hello, My name is Liana and I’m hoping to become a product designer but focused in the VR and/or immersive experience industry. But regardless of where I end up, I should be able to communicate my vision multiple ways including visually. So, that’s why I’m here.
