  • Hi my name is Mauricio, but i prefer Max, I from Chicago and I attend Milwaukee Institute of Art & Design. My first art class was when i started high school. I took a drawing class and ever since then I’ve been obsessed with minuet details of lines. It’s hard to pinpoint or even explain where my passion for drawing and design comes from but I think like any other language, sketching is important because it is another way to express and experience the world within and surrounding us. Too me sketching is the most powerful way to visually express ones self.

    • Hello Max,

I totally agree, sketching is so cool when you can drop what you have in mind on paper! That’s a great feel! I don’t say it’s easy but but so worth working at getting better everyday.

  • hi, im from the philippines. ever since i was young, i have used drawing as a way to vent out and express my emotions whether it may be negative or positive emotions. at the beginning, it was just a hobby and it didn’t matter that much to me if my drawings are bad as long as the message was present at the drawing but now, i want to improve so that i won’t be shy on showing others my drawings so that they could also feel the emotion from just seeing the drawing. that is why learning to sketch is very important to me.

  • Hi, I’m from Taiwan, feel interested in drawing, and I prepare to pursue my master degree in interaction design in the near future. Drawing is also a crucial matter in that field to express my ideas. Then, I see your video, and I think it is helpful.
