I have just met my student John in Singapore!

He’s one of my VIP members of Sketch Like The Pros.
It happened we were both in Singapore, so we decided to meet up and say hello and stop in a cosy cafe.
We couldn’t resist to talk about drawing. And John accepting to do a demo on how to straight lines with his gel pen.

He’s from China, and moved to Singapore for work.
I hope having more and more such opportunity with my students!

Meet up at The Graphic Book Shop: BASHEER in SINGAPORE

Since John and I were both in Singapore, we decided to meet up in person. He suggested we start at Art Friend, a well-loved art supply shop here in the city. We had a great time browsing the aisles, and I was able to share some sketching tips with him.

Afterwards, we headed to Basheer Graphic Books-one of my all-time favorite bookstores. Their shelves are packed with inspiring titles on architecture, concept art, logos, product design, fashion, and so much more. It’s truly a treasure trove for anyone passionate about art and design. While their official website isn’t always up to date, you can check out their latest news and updates on their Facebook page.

I recently also met Mika in Taiwan, one of my student from my Private sketching group “Bring Your Sketch Alive !”
