Concept Art Collaboration: ChouTac x Adrien Wira
A collaboration with my friend Adrien Wira introduced me to a new creative experience that I hadn’t considered before. Adrien and I have known each other since we were classmates at Creapole-ESDI in Paris, where we studied Product Design.
Adrien now works as a talented footwear designer at Adidas in Germany. Even though I live in Asia, we’ve kept in touch and decided to combine our skills and create something together.
Mutual Skill Sharing
Our goal with this collaboration is to help each other improve by sharing knowledge and complementing our strengths. It’s a great way to learn and push our creative limits.

The Process Behind Our Collaboration
- Sketching: I started by creating the initial sketch as the base for our concept art.
- Photoshop Rendering: Adrien took my sketch and enhanced it with Photoshop. He brought in machinery elements from his extensive photo library, including military gear, machines, and futuristic vehicles.
- Detailing: Using Photoshop’s standard brushes, he added lighting, shadows, and fine details to bring the piece to life.
- Special Effects: Adrien incorporated texture and smoke effects using custom brushes. You can find and download thousands of free brushes by searching for “Photoshop brushes .abr” online.

Advice for Design Students
If you’re a design student, I highly recommend working closely with passionate peers. Collaboration raises everyone’s level and helps generate better, richer ideas than working alone.
Adrien and I loved this collaboration so much that we plan to do more in the future. Stay tuned!
