Drawing nice curves are essential for a dynamic sketch.
90% of the time I use 2 types of curves:
- The C-Curve
- The S-Curve
Whenever I need to draw a complex curve, I split it in multiply small curves to draw. I often apply the ghost drawing before drawing the curves.
The key is in the simplification. You can see below my sketch is composed of a series of lines, C and S curve all assembled each other to produce this shoe drawing!
This technique doesn’t apply only to shoe designs but on any products.

Drawing a sneaker using only C and S curves
Many beginners are scared at drawing curves. I will show you some sketching techniques and exercises on how to practice the C-curves.
Let me know your feedback.
If you have any questions, you can ask me in the comment box.
See you for the Next Tip of the day!
